Love Letter: What do you REALLY want? (6/8/22)
Happy Love Letter Wednesday 🙂 I am thoroughly enjoying the summer HEAT down here in North Carolina (even being pregnant!) and celebrating the energy of this season. It’s my favorite time of year – Andrew and I will celebrate eight years together this weekend. I’ve been thinking a lot about what has brought us close in those eight years and I always come back to the fact that we both belonged to ourselves first, before creating a home together.
Your midweek mantra is, “I am the home I’ve always dreamed of.”✨
The world is so LOUD with “shoulds” and “supposed to’s.”
It can be hard to know what’s real and true for ourselves, especially for women.
So many women ache to belong to someone else before they belong to themselves.
So many ache to be chosen without knowing how to choose themselves.
And so many look for a home in another before knowing home in themselves.
The magic of love is that we all crave to be seen, known, and understood.
We can’t have that experience if…
❌ we are pretending to be someone we’re not
❌ we’re following someone else’s story of what we should do
❌ we’ve lost our connection to ourselves (so we can’t trust ourselves)
❌ we don’t know our physiology and nervous system and how to feel safe and relaxed in our lives
My program, Homecoming, is the path back to oneself after perhaps years of running or years of pretending, or years of not knowing.
It’s often so difficult for a woman to be asked “What do you want?” because she’s never given herself permission to answer honestly, or she answers what she thinks she wants because she believes only THEN she’ll feel worthy / enough, or like she belongs.
Belonging is the first module in Homecoming, and worthiness is the second.
It’s a self-guided journey that all women can begin at any time, and the doors are open now.
Everything changes when you are at home with yourself, and your life becomes your own.
