Love Letter: Quit Hiding (Yes, you!) (11/9/22)
It is a very big week this week! We had a big full moon and a lunar eclipse yesterday. I am preparing to FINALLY move into our new house this week, after two full years of construction. I know a lot of people are going through a lot right now, and I am sending my love to you. This human thing is a wild ride, isn’t it?
Andrew and I have gone through a lot in the past month, and I’ve been thinking about my journey as well as the journey of my clients. I am celebrating that there is no part of me that I have to hide or suppress in order to keep my relationship, and I know that is also true for my clients.
Today is the day we throw away the idea that you can “scare someone away” and instead recognize that the only people you want around you are the people who love you for exactly who you are.
Your midweek mantra is, “I am free to be myself. When I give myself permission to be all I am, I magnetize all that is aligned with me.” ✨
Many women have been trained to believe this kind of relationship is the only way love can work – to hide, dim their light, repress their desires, and pretend to be someone they are not. Or to pretend to be who they think their partner wants). Then they wonder why they are so unhappy.
The gift of love is only a gift when we are loved for exactly who we are.
Lots of people settle for attention, which by itself, is not love.
Love is possible when we are appreciated, accepted, celebrated, and adored.
Love is what happens when we have the freedom to bring all of who we are to the table, and we are met with respect.
This is why self-acceptance is so essential to being at home with oneself. When you accept yourself, you don’t chase love, and you don’t hide who you are.
This is what we mean when we say “be yourself” as dating advice – it means to bring your likes, dislikes, dreams, needs, desires, and fears to the table.
It means to bring your imperfection and know that you are enough.
I love watching my clients reveal who they are and find an aligned match.
The first step is Homecoming – discover who you are, heal your patterns of hiding, and step fully into your power. You are magnificent.
